My name is Assunta and I am a proud Mackay local and business woman. It was scary to go into business on my own in my 50’s – but it’s been one of the best things I have ever done for myself.

I have always loved fashion and remember being a young girl scouring through fashion magazines, obsessed with every new trend! I went on to have 4 daughters that I loved to dress and coordinate outfits for, as much as they might have hated it at the time!

I have just always loved fashion and quickly became the chosen one when someone needed a gift for their female partner in my large Mediterranean family. I was cheekily nicknamed Imelda Marcos because my shoe collection is bigger than I care to admit!

I can take any outfit and bling it up and my kids call me the ‘Queen of Bling’. I think life is boring without sparkles and sequins! My personal fashion trend is a bit OTT, but more is more, right?!

I’ve been through a lot in my life and unfortunately, serious health issues have been very prevalent in my life and the life of my loved ones. For me – dolling myself (and others) up has been the ultimate coping mechanism. A good outfit can transform your day and I have loved bringing this to others and having my amazing, loyal customers come back and tell me, “I got so many compliments, thank you Assunta” is one of my greatest joys.  

I’m also not scared to try a fashion trend – and let me tell you – I have been rocking tiger print for 3 decades now! Why not have a little fun with your fashion?!
